Report: Hungary, Cyprus, Greece, Malta against seaborne oil price cap

MOSCOW, Oct 3 (PRIME) -- Hungary, Cyprus, Greece, and Malta are against the E.U. price cap on seaborne oil, Politico newswire reported quoting six European diplomats.

The E.U. permanent representatives are to meet later on Monday to discuss a new round of the anti-Russian sanctions, and the price cap on seaborne oil is to be an important part of it.

But six E.U. diplomats said that some countries continue putting up roadblocks for that, and the list includes Hungary, which is not surprising, but also Cyprus, Greece, and Malta, whose tankers transport the majority of Russian oil, Politico reported.
